For better, for worse . . . for richer, for poorer.

Newlyweds Joshua and Gloria Martin are a middle-class professional couple, well on their way to achieving the American dream.  When Josh loses his job, their plans for the future take a stark detour and their marriage faces its biggest challenge. 

Though Gloria is supportive of her husband, Josh’s self-esteem takes a hit as he tries unsuccessfully to find work.  Tension grows between the couple when Gloria is promoted to her dream job and Josh is still jobless.  After eight months with no work, Josh finally lands a good job in North Carolina, about 200 miles from their Atlanta home.

Gloria, still basking in her recent promotion, is not prepared to leave her job in order to follow her husband.  Reluctantly, the couple decides to embark on a commuter marriage.  As distance and competing work commitments begin to strain their relationship, Josh and Gloria face unexpected temptations and resentments.  Will they be able to honor their vows or will outside winds destroy them?
